I was in search of some quality Larimar while visiting Cozumel, and after seeing the pieces I decided the Abril pendant was the one that fit me the best. There were three in store and I was able to see just how different each piece can be as far as color and pattern. I was lucky enough to find a greenish colored pendant which is supposedly not a common variation. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, and I can't wait to add to my Larimar collection.

The first time I saw Larimar was in a jewelry store in Aruba (Royal Diamonds and Jewels) in 2009. After coming home from vacation, I made a point to investigate and educate myself about this stone. It was reading about it that I learned it is only mined in the Dominican Republic. In 2013, I traveled to Punta Cana, in the Domincan. I knew I would be buying a piece of this jewelry while there. Since that time I have vacationed in Punta Cana a number of times and ALWAYS come home with a piece of Larimar jewelry. Recently, I traveled back to Aruba and visited the same jewelry store where I first laid eyes on this beautiful stone. Lucky me! A friend purchased for me both a ring and a turtle necklace I was eyeing in the jewelry case . I love this stone and I love the quality and craftsmanship of m Marahlago ring. The necklace was an added bonus as not only do I love Larimar, but I collect turtles. I LOVE THESE PIECES. Whenever I wear them, people will comment on them and ask me about them.
