Back in the early 2000s, founder Adrian Nixon set sail for the shores of the Dominican Republic. Mesmerized by the rare, sky-blue gem local miners gathered along the coast, he fell in love with Larimar—a stone found in only one square kilometer on Earth.

What started as sketches drawn in the sand has grown into over two decades of fine jewelry design, capturing the tranquil spirit of the Caribbean in every piece.

In the early days of founding the business, choosing a name came down to finding something that truly captured the essence of the ocean and the rare gemstone we fell in love with my original co-founder’s name happened to be Marah Lago—a remarkably perfect match for the stone itself:

It felt like a sign from the ocean itself. While Adrian bought out his early partner over 15 years ago, the name Marahlago remains the perfect representation of our heritage and heart—celebrating the beauty, serenity, and timeless magic of the sea.
