The whale tale represents my father and grandfathers love of Alaska. This was purchased in Alaska at the Diamonds International store during my cruise on the Skagway stop. My grandfather, Fred, was one of the 1898-99 Gold Rush Klondike Stampeders (a statue is in Skagway) honoring those men/women what participated in that great era. My father, who passed in 2004 from cancer, had a love for Alaska and wrote a book honoring the men/women that were part of the Klondike Gold Rush. Being that in 2004 was my last vacation with my late husband, who died in 2005, was to Alaska, I could think of no other piece to remember them all ... but to get the whale tale. I love the marahlago line ... love it! Hold them close to my heart! Thank You.
